Big government plus religious demagoguery — it’s two classic Huck soundbites rolled into one. He could have said “let’s bring it in line with moral standards” or just said what he means, i.e. “let’s ban abortion and gay marriage nationwide.” But there’s no identity politics in that phrasing, is there? For “God’s standards,” it takes more of a “Christian leader,” shall we say. Read this post if you missed it yesterday and see again why the analogy to senior citizens is so bogus.

Ron Paul says...something
The lead in to this article sounds like he was about to stupidify himself, but he makes sense. OK, you might, as I do, that his position against the civil rights act of 1964 is wrong, but he's not stupid. Also, the Civil War could have been avoided by "someone" buying the slaves and setting them free. link anywhere here.

Hillary Clinton warns people about boiling frogs, or boiling frogs slowly, or something like that
She warned that folks shouldn't be grateful now if oil countries cut prices from near $100 a barrel to $60 or $70, and compared it to trying to boil a frog.
"You put him in hot water, it jumps right out, you put him in cold water and turn up the heat - he's a goner," she said. "We've got to figure out how were going to not be the frog in the cold water anymore."
